Description
This mod is a standalone of the score/combo counter from Minimalist HUD Pro, for use with Joy's Score Counter.
It adds an animated score counter in the corner of the screen and a Hotline Miami-style combo popup on rapid kills.
The position and font sizes can be customizable in the mod options menu, as well as disabling the combo popup or the score counter individually of one another.
The black box bg behind the score counter can also be hidden.
Note: For the purposes of this mod, combos consist of 2 or more kills, each within 2 seconds of the last.

- Joy's Score Counter (link below)
- Custom In-Game Name Color (HUD-compatible)
- Advanced Crosshairs, Hitmarkers, and Hitsounds
- Halo Crosshairs Pack (Advanced Crosshairs)
- The level shown in the video is Proving Grounds by Lawsfercapcake? et all.
Assets used in this mod:
- The "#X COMBO" font is Justice, which is Donationware. https://www.dafont.com/justice.font Justice is the font originally used for Hotline Miami's combo counter, among other UI elements in the game.
- The score text is Retro Computer, which is free for personal use. https://www.dafont.com/retro-computer.font Retro Computer is not the font that was used in Hotline Miami, and is instead the closest matching look-alike I could find.

F.A.Q.:
Q: Does this work with [xyz] HUD mod?
A: idk lol probably. I haven't tested it with any, but it should work with most any HUD mod.
Q: Why doesn't the combo popup occur at the location of the killed unit like Minimalist HUD Pro?
A: Unfortunately, Joy's Score Counter works somewhat differently from MHP. A reference to the unit isn't provided to Joy's Score Counter, so this mod doesn't have that information to show. I might revisit this mod later and try to find a way to make it work like it did in MHP.
Q: The score counter shows up, but it never changes, and the combo popup doesn't show up at all.
A: You need to install Joy's Score Counter for this mod to work properly.
Q: I don't want the score counter or the score popups, just the combo counter. Can I use this mod without Joy's Score Counter?
A: Joy's Score Counter must be installed in order for this mod to do anything, but you can disable score popups in Joy's Score Counter and/or hide the score counter both in JSC and this mod so that it is effectively hidden. You can also choose to disable the score counter or the combo counter if you only want one or the other from this mod.
Q: The score counter and combo popup don't show up at all, ever.
A: You probably have this mod installed incorrectly.
Q: I crash when I try to use this mod.
A: You probably have BeardLib installed incorrectly.
Q: do you like hurting other people
A: depends on the day of the week
Known Issues:
- The combo counter is visible in the preplanning screen and heist-end screen. This is due to the way that I added compatibility for all HUD mods.
