Comes with 15 outfits based on the Russian Reapers. These outfits are:
- Blue Mercenary
- Yellow Mercenary
- Red Mercenary
- Heavy Mercenary
- Heavy Mercenary (Helmetless)
- Elite Mercenary
- Weak Mercenary
- Russian Shield
- Russian Taser
- Russian Cloaker
- Russian Medic
- Russian Skulldozer Armor
- Russian Bulldozer
- Russian Blackdozer
- Russian Skulldozer
There are two versions of this mod: The normal version and the OS version.
Normal version
Uses vanilla texture strings meaning that other mods can change the appearances of the outfits. Will not take up as much space as the OS version
OS version
Also known as the Own Strings version. Uses its own texture strings, allowing you to change how the outfits look without changing how the enemies look.
Both versions
The Cloaker outfit uses a unique texture string for the glowing part of the goggles, as the vanilla texture is more pixel-ly.
Additionally, the blue, yellow, red, helmetless heavy, elite and weak mercenaries and Shield have slightly different models than the enemies they're based on; their heads have been moved upward so that they can properly wear masks. You can use Nervatel's Unmasked v2 if you don't want them to wear a mask (or if your mask is appearing on outfits it shouldn't).
Customization ideas
These mods will allow you to change the appearances of the outfits. Some changes can only be done with the OS version.
Spoiler!
- Hyper Reapers: Makes their balaclavas darker and can turn the red merc, heavy mercs, and Medic blue (requires OS). Also turns the Cloaker's jumpsuit black.
- Russian OMON over Mercenaries: Gives most of them a blue-ish camo and puts the Russian flag on their arms.
- Zdann's Russian Medic: Makes the Medic's outfit more black.
- Consistent Russian Medic: Colors the Medic to look more like his American counterpart but with a black helmet.
Q&A
Q: Can I have both versions installed at once?
A: Haven't tested this yet but I would assume no.
Q: Why don't the Green and Black Dozers have an Armor/helmetless variant like the Skulldozer?
A: The Green Dozer Armor is part of DCPD Specials Outfit Pack while the Black Dozer Armor is part of Federales Outfit Pack. I didn't want two of my outfit packs to have identical outfits.
Q: How do I change the textures for the OS version?
A: Go into the mod's folder and into assets/units/russia/armor_skins then open the folder for the outfit you want to edit. For the mercs' and Shield's heads and the Green and Black Dozers' helmets, these are in the shared_textures folder. Delete the texture you want to change, then copy and paste the texture that you want to use from another mod into the folder. Make sure it has the exact same name.
Q: Why do some of the outfits appear to have the heister's wrists?
A: This is a bug that Third Person has where the wrists will appear even when wearing a BeardLib outfit. Hoppip said he probably won't bother fixing it. Rest assured, as the wrists will NOT appear in first person or in the menus.
