A mod that shows Steam avatars in the lobby and during a heist would be nice. I know Better Teammate Panel adds a Steam avatar, but there's a few issues I have with it:
- I don't particularly enjoy the how it makes my health/armor bars squared in heist using the 'replace health bar' option
- Using the same option when playing with Zerk means the avatar is nonexistent due to constant low health
- The other options are just bad looking
I also know HUD mods like Holo UI lets you have a Steam avatar but those HUDs are kinda buggy and I'd like to keep using HopHud.
Here's some mockups of how I think it should look like. Squared look in the lobby, but round avatar in-heist and placed in the middle of the health/armor bars.
I'd appreciate if someone made a mod like this. Hell, I'm even willing to pay you for it. I'd try it but I have no experience with lua.
I am fairly certain creating a round version of the avatar on the fly isn't posibble in Payday's UI, so your suggestion for the ingame avatar display would be pretty much impossible
While it would be nice, I think that the in-game HUD mock-ups deals with 3 problems.
Most perk deck throwables have a duration for them getting used and if I recall correctly, a chunk of them have icons that are visible during their throwable's duration,
(Correct me if I'm wrong about that, I seriously doubted myself there)on-top of the armor and health circles but the avatar itself would be covered by the perk deck throwable's icon.
Similar to the first one, the decks Ex-President and Maniac both use the empty area inside the health circle to show the stored health and Hysteria gauge.
Not sure if these would end up being above or below the avatar in those mock-ups.
There are mods which put things in the center of these circles like Ex-Pres. and Maniac does, which might cause a minor inconvenience at best.
Mods that add a stamina meter within the health circle, while those are rare nowadays are one example.
