There are 4 drum mags which are unused in the vanilla game files.
- Car-4 Drum (+70 magazine)
- AK Drum (+70 magazine)
- Izhma Drum (+13 magazine)
- Compact 5 Drum (+70 magazine)
I simply re-enabled them by adding a little bit to the tweak_data table.
Also added the drum mags to any weapon the vanilla model fits.
So the Car drum will fit most guns which use Car magazines, etc.
(Please note, some guns have less than 100 bullets total ammo, so they will never have a full drum. Wasn't sure if I should add more total ammo to them or not for balancing.)

The goals of this mod:
- Re-enable Drums for use in game.
- Add Icons to the Blackmarket for each of them
- Set the weapon reload animation to something "decent," (the AA12 reload works okay for them.)
- Set stats which make sense within vanilla. (Based off the quad stack mag, but with -6 concealment for larger drums)
Important:
- There will be a few visual issues with the drum mags.
- Hands and arms will clip through the mag in third person (the reason they were dropped from the game)
- The AA12 reload has an issue on shorter guns. The left hand will go a little too far forward on the fore-grip.
- For bullpups I'm using the standard reload, if you look closely you can see the hand clipping into the mag.
Requirements:
Future Plans:
- Possibly add custom reload animations.
Thanks to the collaborators on VisualFixes
Also Dorpenka, RainbowFishcakes and Pawcio in the Discord who helped me understand material configs.
I included the specific fixes I need from the VisualFixes for this mod. (Shamelessly stole without permission.)
However I would highly recommend installing VisualFixes.

this needs a some tweaking. it works, but if you use a weapon skin/color, the magazine has some misplaced textures over it.
Are you talking about the MP5 drum specifically?
Just saw it ye, I think it has to do with the material config. I'll look at it tonight.
The rest appear correct with skins in my testing. (I didn't test the the MP5 drum that much)
(Edit: Sorry for the 3 notifs, sometimes MWS has connection issues and comments get posted like 3 times.)
@hacker_lyx
its ok, and yeah, i noticed it on the mp5 specifically
@reggie That's been fixed. I had to make a "skinmap" for it.
In fixing it I noticed why the m4 drum wear levels don't work... won't be too hard to fix, it's just enough work that I'll leave it for later.
@hacker_lyx
also, my opinion, i do think you should increase their total ammo, in exchange for slower reload speed (they are bulky magazines)
@reggie
It took some thinking.
To me it would make the most sense, to add a another weapon attachment.
Like "I'll take half that kit," for the minigun. But adds more ammo to the weapon, and comes with it's own downsides.
Current thought would be something like "Surplus rounds" +total ammo -accuracy -stability -concealment. (maybe adjust ammo pickup, but then we're just turning this into an LMG mod)
The idea being you get more ammo, they're just shittier quality.
That'll go under the "Extra" category, so it wouldn't affect your choice of other attachments.
Then I was going to extend reload times for the Drum mags any way, I've just been busy.
@hacker_lyx
"more ammo, just shittier quality"
So junk rounds from Fallout:NV?
