I really want to use this mod but sadly I have a lot of custom weapons which includes lmg's, shotguns, and specials so will need to wait till the compatibility issue with those are sorted. Looking forward to trying this!

This mod is not really built for custom weapon support at the moment - due to amount of changes to enemy HP and breakpoints, its impossible to make all custom weapons work without manual adjustments for every gun individually. Custom weapons are actually easier to use, because their accuracy and stability/recoil stats are not adjusted by Gilza.

Right now, custom weapon support just provides a new damage value and ammo pick up for mentioned categories and that's it, meanwhile all base game guns (at least the automatic ones like AR's that use new recoil system) don't feel the same as in vanilla PD2. Snipers and shotguns are the only categories for which this kind of support would actually work. (but even then, i cant really figure out if a custom sniper is a bolt-action or a semi-auto, which makes it not perfect either)

Current plan for the mod is to add lmg and sniper support next, probably next update and figure out the graze rework. After that i'll most likely start manually adding support for custom weapons, since otherwise this mod feels balanced at the moment. Oh and as for specials - they probably won't be adjusted by Gilza at all, except for maybe custom miniguns, if they even exist.

TL;DR: Most base game guns feel different when compared to themselves from vanilla PD2, some guns got new 'roles' (like high accuracy with bad recoil or vice versa). So, by the time the basic compatibility for all weapon categories will be complete, you would probably still be playing around with vanilla guns, trying out what exactly they are now good at. Manual adjustments for custom weapons, that are needed for them to work well with other Gilza changes, will come later. (as fast as i can make them as a solo dev)

Oh and if you want to get a new 'feel' for vanilla guns because you are tired of them or something, try using sound packs that change their sounds, like this MW2019 one, or try custom animations, PlayBONK did a ton of those.
