Weapon commissioned a long time ago by FrenchyAU.
The SIG SAUER MCX Virtus is an all around assault rifle with an emphasis on modularity to cover what you need.
The MCX Virtus will be unlocked at level 40 and appears as the M16 (AMR16).
Stat Notes:
The MCX Virtus is very similar to the existing M4A1 stat block as a jack of all trades, master of none. The MCX Virtus fires at 800 RPM rather than the oddly slow 600 RPM the vanilla M4A1 has.
Stat Notes
Spoiler!
If you've used the vanilla M4A1, you should be familiar with this stat spread: 64 damage, 30 rounds per magazine, 150 total bullets, average accuracy/accuracy/concealment that can be patched up by attachments, and base ammo pickup rate of 4-8 bullets per box.
The key difference is that, as this is a Frenchy comission and he likes throwing big numbers at things, the stats MCX Virtus tend to be a bit higher than usual. Otherwise, the only key difference between this and the M4A1 is the 800 RPM, granting you far superior DPS compared to the vanilla M4A1.
As for ammo types, the .300 Blackout ammo brings your damage up to the 85 damage range and grants a sizeable accuracy increase, but lowers your total ammo capacity/pickup rate by 30%.
Known Issues:
-The C Clamp animation doesn't perfectly fit on every handguard, especially if you look very closely on the shorty handguards. Unfortunately a side effect of the original animation assuming you'd be using a 14.5in+ barrel length. BONK is super busy at the moment and doesnt have the time to make an animation where the player holds the gun closer to the base of the handguard.
-Some handguard/barrel/suppressor combos will clip into each other. I tried asking around for if I could make conditional forbids, such as "if 6 inch barrel is equipped with 10 inch normal handguard, forbid suppressors", but nobody had ideas. And outright forbidding suppressors would forbid the suppressors on usable combos (like the 11 inch barrel with 10 inch handguard), so use some common sense when selecting your muzzle devices, barrels, and handguards (or intentionally create cursed combos).
Probable Future Asked Questions:
Q: Hey, wait a second, isn't this similar to Carl's MCX Virtus? What's different about this one?
A: This one is a very expensive comission request by FrenchyAU. At the original time of creation, Frenchy wanted an MCX Virtus with Fnxuray's AR15 re-anim rather than the ingame SG552 anim. So in exchange for letting me use some of the assets he bought for other mod projects (like the wacky SIG Visor stock for my MCX Spear), I would make this MCX Virtus for him using the ParallaxStudios assets.
After working with PlayBONK for the M4 Block III April Fools animations, I decided to also re-update this weapon to also use that tacky tactical animation set.
Q: Isn't this overly similar to your own MCX Gen 1?
A: Funny, that you mention that, since Frenchy's VIRTUS and my Gen 1 were co-developed around the same time before I went back to finish this up with the tacky tactical tactics animation set.
Q: Are you going to pull a fast one on us with the joke animations?
A: This one has the correct animations, I swear. You can actually tell it uses the correct animations because it doesnt have the stripper clip attachment as required by the joke animations.
Q: XM250/MCX Rattler Secondary so I can rock SIG SAUER for everything!
A: Someone kindly donated Akinaro's XM250 for me to use, so that is in development (when it will be animated, idk, PlayBONK is suffering from a large backlog of requests). As for the Rattler, you could try asking Frenchy to open his pocketbook again.
Q: Frenchy's Virtus is broken!
A: He's the boss, so take complaints to him.
