This mod does NOT have automatic updates because I am dumb. If someone could reach out to help me set it up I'd love to, but for now you have to manually redownload.
I have now added a separate file called "More Realistic Ammo Counts and Magazines" which have modified magazine sizes (and ammo counts to keep numbers clean) to more closely match real firearms. Link with changes from original file here: https://pastebin.com/PRhTPkKT
Went through all the vanilla/DLC guns and increased the ammo counts to roughly the ratio of 7 magazines of 30 rounds for an M4. Guns that have notably higher caliber (like the Eagle Heavy Rifle) have less ammo (150 rounds), some other guns (like the Clarion rifle) are left at their higher counts (240 rounds). Some might be a little overkill, like the bootleg bringing in 4 drum mags at 400 total rounds, and the LMGs might be a bit questionable at 600 rounds, but I figure you are bringing those weapons with heavy armor and have plenty of room to store extra magazines.
Text for the LUA file is posted here (where you can search up the name of a gun and see how much ammo I gave it): https://pastebin.com/DdpiXZ5p
This mod requires the usual, SuperBLT, Beardlib, and WeaponLib. Drop it in the mods folder. This will not work in mod_overrides.
This mod was made using Weapon Rebalance Template, mad props to Croveaux for all his work. I just spent ~4 hours writing in the IDs and numbers for all the weapons.
Please give me feedback, whether it be suggestions for increasing or decreasing ammo counts, why something is realistic/unrealistic, balanced or unbalanced, etc. Feel free to call me a dirty cheater, shame my decisions, whatever else you want. I'd like to tweak this if enough people deem it necessary (or if one person gives me a good enough argument) to make something that people enjoy using. Ideally ammo should still be a thought, but not a constant pressing concern, especially if you are running skills that help with ammo.
Also, editing the gun-ammo-tweaks.lua file should be really easy. I spent extra effort organizing it by weapon category, and commenting the name of each weapon above where their ammo counts are edited. Clip/magazine size is included, but none of them (except the Little Friend) have been changed. I gave the Little Friend one more bullet, because I use 3-round burstfire with it and wanted to have a clip that was a multiple of 3 (totaling at 21). It should be simple enough to change ammo types of some guns in there if only a small number of them bother you, but if you do, please let me know! I'm happy to change this file if it seems worth doing so.
Anyways, that's my rant. Hope at least someone other than me and my one friend get enjoyment out of this.

The images are removed because violation of Submission rule 10. Do not upload media that contains real guns, ammo boxes, attachments, and the like (i.e. a real photo of a gun)
This does not include guns, attachments, and similar from any video game, or any model/drawing that depicts them.
Maybe you should do some research if you gonna really do "realistic" ammo count.
Example is RPK, using 75 Rounds Drum Magazine
or WA200, using 6 Rounds Box Magazine
or even UMP45, using 25 Rounds Box Magazine...
The mod targets total ammo, as I wrote in the description. None of the magazine sizes have been changed save for the one case with the Little Friend.
That being said, perhaps going through and giving the guns accurate magazine sizes isn't a bad idea, I just wanted to clarify that the magazine sizes you are pointing out are from Overkill, not from me.
Also I fixed the images, my apologies for that, was pretty late when I submitted this and skimmed through without realizing
I've downloaded like 10 or more mods that have an image of a real gun wdym lol
@Tony It's because most advertisers flag real guns and would classify our content as something that isn't just video games mods.
In case you hadn't noticed, I made a separate file for changed magazine sizes too, feedback would be appreciated.
I didn't touch the snipers though, partly because the achievement for getting 11 kills with a wa2000 without reloading would be impossible I think if I did (or nearly at least) and just didn't really think to look at the others after I skipped that one in particular.
