This mod adds KS-23 as standalone 23mm anti-aircraft gun secondary shotgun. Unlock Level: 66
Weapon will appear as China Lake(China Puff 40mm) for other players if Wolf Pack DLC is own otherwise Glock 17(Chimano 88) will be used.
in games. when I hear the word shotgun I picture big barrelled tubes of death that fire mid sized SUVs at people that are handled as if the thing is either weighty or Durable along with the sound being meaty enough to trigger dopamine and hear every mechanism click into place.
Payday's shotguns ended up being rather disappointing to say the least. lacklustre Sounds, fast and mediocre animations for shotguns etc.
the only weapons which came close to this image in my head was the GSPS 12g, the Breaker and the Joceline
but this?
the KS-23. it's everything I wanted in a shotgun.
mid sized SUV shells at 300+ dmg a shell. the pumping animation is a pure dopamine hit. I can hear all of the mechanisms clicking and moving and the animation is conveyed with so much weight. as if the strength the gun has is too much to chamber another shell.
The sound of this gun firing is Punchy AF and it's an absolute treat to listen to.
the downside to this gun is the 3 shell capacity tube magazine but honestly. at 300 damage a pop? It's understandable. middling pick up rate for a shell of its gauge type. but honestly? the magazine size isn't even an issue cause we can hear and see those sexy animations even more.
fun fact: this gun was conceived when the russians thought of making a gun from 23mm aircraft guns that didn't make the cut. it's also used as a riot suppression weapon
@vinieraardvark1 Yeah. And for firing grappling hooks. And if you're willing to contend with an unrifled barrel, you can even use this for hunting as a civillian
