yeah i have the same issue, it's a "random" out of memory
you can try removing mods until it works or getting stuck restarting the game until it also works
you can thank Starbreeze for breaking everything in the last update
silencing legitimate and civil criticisms regarding PAYDAY 3
and overall having their 3th attempt this year from their CEO to flee the country with company money.
He has low end pc with low RAM that must be the case

nope, i have 16GB and i have the same issue.
PD2 is a 32bit application so it's very limited on the memory it can use.
after the Epic Games update they added something that essentially weights down the memory as much as at least 400 mods
@sabina how odd i have over 100 mods and i have no crash with the memory like i have 32 gb of ram but the game engine needs only 4 gb but if you add many textures mods it will crash and i have only 2 textures mods one being heavy and the other a reload animation

i have 500+ mods including ResMod
before the update i could run 900+ mods with ResMod flawlessly without random crashes or crashing at the main menu
some might think "you have too many mods" i can only say; i used to have more, and whatever they fucked in the last update, is as heavy as 400-700~ mods
@XxRPJeezusxX234 my bad i didnt know, but maybe verify files or re install the game and install clear texture cache to improve the game from crashing from lack of memory
@sabina yea and the last update are dogshit killing the game but aside from that maybe the files are corrupted
@joniathanexe You're fine, also I have both reinstalled and verified the integrity of the files. Also I have no idea how to install a clear texture cache.

done all of that multiple times, it's just how the game it's now.
@XxRPJeezusxX234 Update: Seems that after going into windows security and making the entire payday 2 folder an exception, the crash has been fixed.
Deleting old cached windows files may have also helped.
