You all might be wondering where we've been all this time, truth is, the original author doesn't mod Payday 3 as of now, and it was up to the dedicated mod community to bring you the notorious Jacket patch.. Well, here we are! Big thanks to @abkarino and @gamerrhours for updating this mod after all this time. They might be responsible for future patches to this mod, however their schedule allows them. VanillaHUD+ adds some much needed UI elements to the vanilla HUD. Synergises very well with RinoHUD.
- Enhanced Crew Status - Shows more information about the status of your crew outside of armor and health, now with the OVERKILL BAR. Currently implemented features:
- Ammo counters - Shows ammo of the heister's primary, secondary and overkill weapon.
- Equipment - Shows the heister's currently equipped gadget, deployable, throwable and the amount of currently held consumables.
- Overkill bar - Shows the heister's overkill bar status.
- Renown - Because Starbreeze didn't, you can now see crew's Renown levels instead of the less useful level 150!
- Dynamic Heister Portraits - Dynamically changes heister portraits to display, whenever they've already masked up or not. Huge thanks to @delta_pizza for allowing us to use [HUD Icons] Masked Heisters as the masked heister portraits.
Note: Any heister icon replacement mods that changes the unmasked icons should still work for unmasked. If you have a heister icon mod that you want compatible with the masked icons, please ask that mods original creator to make it compatible with this mod. All masked icon textures can be found in "Content/UI/Textures/InventoryIcons".
Remember the mod naming is important for loading order. To override this mods textures, your mod must load after it. The easiest way to ensure this happens is by naming your mod starting with the letter z; For example if I have a mod called CustomHeisterIcons_P.pak, I will rename it to zCustomHeisterIcons_P.pak so that it loads after VanillaHUDPlus_P.pak.
- Hostage Counter - Just like the old times!
- Heist Timer - Save yourself a TAB click!
Note: When RinoHUD is in use, the hostage counter and heist timer will be hidden so that the mods don't collide.
- The crew's or the player's portrait flickers to their unmasked portrait for a frame if they've picked up or dropped an overkill weapon. There is currently no known workaround to this.
Note: Nvidia DLSS Frame Gen causes the HUD to flicker while unmasked. This also happens without the mod. This is not something that we can fix so lets hope SBZ fixes it soon.

I feel strongly about this, so I'm gonna review it
These are all MY opinions, they don't make it so that you can't enjoy the mod
THE GOOD:
Hostage Counter (a basic feature that should have been in base game) (also a part of the bad section)
Heisters Un-masking and masking up in the hud (I think its cool)
The new assault text colors (they make more sense)
THE MEDIUM (stuff that is neither good nor bad):
The images on this mod page (You don't say that some features, like the kill counter and the colored names, are not included. You did say them in the works well with section, but still, credit them or just have the hud by itself)
THE BAD:
The teammate status + own status (IMO, we don't need to know what the others have. We can see what they have in the preplanning screen. If they have it, good. If they don't, then damn. Also I don't like how since the teammate stuff was added, our health and armor were stretched. I liked where it was)
Hostage Counter size (In the image, it looks like the hostage counter is huge. In game, it's not huge)
I give this a solid 7.5/10. Does this mod have good intentions? Yes. Is it a well made mod? Yes. Will I use it? No.
Update: It has been around 3 weeks since the Jacket update has come out, and this mod hasn't been updated, even though the only things they would need to add / fix would be 1. Jacket's unmasked and masked up in the hud 2. the ammo for the baseball bat (have it as infinity), both of which sound very fixable and easy.

@unironically_stupid everyone saying its easy to do yet i see no-one bothering to do it lmao. I'm not modding this game anymore (hence why the mod has the discontinued tag) so if anyone else wants to maintain it and update it then go ahead :D
@shalashaska1 just saw this, i know like 90% of the people on this site don't look at the tags. better idea would to put DISCONTINUED in the name and or mod description (also this has happened before)
