A weapon from the grimderp future of flying hovercrafts, nonexistent hit registration, and the same 10 people fighting over arbitrary objectives.

The DM7 is unlocked at level 30 and will appear as the M16 (AMR16) for others.
The DM7 is a fast paced DMR that is comfortable to fire and use.

The damage sits at a base of 122, which gets bumped up to 129 by a default weapon mod and the 5% bonus damage from perk decks. This is just enough to one shot headshot regular SWAT enemies and 2 shot headshot Tan SWAT enemies on higher difficulties.

The ammo capacity is a default of 15 rounds per magazine, with 4 spare magazines (75 rounds total) and the ammo pickup is 1-4 bullets by default. Plenty of ammo to go around as long as you aim carefully.

The concealment is above average at 18, with a few mods pushing the DM7 into the mid 20s in concealment.

The Accuracy and Stability are adequate at a base of 72 and 28. They are passable enough to snipe with some skill/mod investment.

In terms of weapon mods, there's not as many to choose from. I did add some new mods that weren't available in the original game like the Short Barrel or Triggers for purposes of fun. The most noteworthy mods are the special ammo types mimicking that of the original game.

The CQC rounds drops the damage to the 105 damage range, but boosts the ammo pickup, ammo pool, and general stability. The damage penalty should not be too big of an issue with skill use and modifications pushing you back over the two shot headshot threshhold.

The High Power ammo grants a damage boost that puts the DM7 into the 160 damage, just like the vanilla M1A. I am not really sure why you'd do this instead of using the vanilla M1A or any of the 160 damage snipers with Graze, but the option is here if you want it.

The (Armor) Piercing rounds grants you access to all piercing types: body armor, bodies, walls, and shields. Probably not accurate considering that Dozer's Ballistic Shield could reflect tank shells, but I don't think people are going to change the Shield Special Units into 100% Accurate BF2042 Launch Dozer Shields.

For cosmetics, most of the default parts can swap between Weapon Painter variants of the Frostbite skin and the Tier1 mastery skin.
There is also "skinmap" functionality available for the default parts.

Known Issues
-The Painter Variants have no icons.
-The shorter magazines don't quite match up to the animation.
-The Pay2Win 45 Degree Iron Sight gadget from the Cartel Optics has a broken sight stance. I tried everything I could think of to fix this, but the game really does not want to cooperate on this canted optic.
-The CQC magazine textures in general has ... interesting ... texture problems in the main menu, but will look fine ingame. I tried everything I could think of like fixing the normal maps, inverting the specular/gloss, and changing the material configs of the GSMA, but no luck for wtf is going on in the menus/black market.

A: That was originally the plan: these parts were originally supposed to go in the MW2019 M4A1. But then I decided to split them off from that mod due to file size concerns ... and because of 2042 memes.
As for getting the parts on vanilla weapons, pester Frenchy to add them to his Tacticool Packs.

Q: What happened to Dorcas the Subsonic Ammo/Magazine/Frostbite Skin Ghillie Wrap?
A: I put poison in his mutton The asset dump with 2042 assets did not have the Subsonic ammo magazine.
The Frostbite Ghillie Wrap was planned and is still in the files, but I disabled the relevant weapon mods due to running into texturing issues that made it unusable.

Q: Future PP? Future SCARH with Noobtube? Future TRG? Portal Weapons?
A: Probably not. If I had to pick Portal weapons, I might consider the XM8 Prototype with Grenade Launcher because of BC2 memories, or the M16A3 because I can take potshots at Youtubers.

Q: M5A3?
A: Maybe? I do have a SIG MCX Spear, albeit with a model bought from Sketchfab and not the 2042 version. I am unsure if the model license violates MWS guidelines, so I might end up swapping to the 2042 model if it does.
