This mod aims to fix a few of Payday 2's original models and add one thing that was -in my opinion- was supposed to be added by Overkill themselves, but hey!... we can't really wish everything and have it all done immediately, eh?
AK 7.62 & Golden AK:*
a ton of model issues and absolutely god-awful magazines made the game unplayable for me.
- corrected the magazine model (origial model was for a metal 5.45 magazine, not a 7.62x39)
- added the cleaning rod to the AK 7.62*
- removed ugly diamonds and replaced with engravings
that would make Revolver Ocelot cry** now with better engravings! - the Solid Stock lost the dimples and had the sling attachment moved to the bottom rather than the side, now it looks like a proper AKM stock!
- All the AK textures have been redone to be slightly nicer on the eyes.
- PSL stock got a rework
- Solid Stock also got a texture rework, glorious wood may bring luck upon you, comrade!
- lightweight and battle proven handguards have been redone to be of better quality, Gage has butchered them both and we deserve better!
- the PBS suppressor now looks and feels like a genuine and new suppressor straight from the motherland!
The Krinkov:
by far the most butchered AK in the game happens to be practically the most useless if you're trying to have any form of fun.
- added the 5.45x39 conversion kit, making it a lesser AK Rifle with better stability, now you can use it for more than just 2 magazines and forget about it for the rest of the heist!
- readjusted the Skeletal stock to be more accurate to the real Skeletal Stock.
- wooden foregrip is now accurate to the real life AKS-74U (no slits, small gap between the top of the foregrip and trunion.
The AK Gen-21 you know what, пошел на хуй, it's the Vityaz:*
- new textures that makes it less oily and more clean.
Shared, kinda like communism:
since the AK7.62, the AK Rifle, the Krinkov, the godforsaken mistake known as the Izhma 12, the RPK, and Vanilla Mod Pack's Dragon Pistol share the same texture pool, all of them now look 10 times better than vanilla.
IN PROGRESS:
* edits to the RPK to make it more accurate to the real life RPKM.
- edits to the Grom Sniper to match the SVD more closely.
- retextures, because fuck me these textures are god-awful... <---- this s#!t is what is taking the most time...
- Legendary Skin for the AK17 rifle. (NAME TO BE ANNOUNCED). <---- this s#!t is still in progress, currently working on the model itself...
- lore-friendly renames for certain weapons.
