A young bullet that grew up in the more dank parts of the Gungeon before being forced to serve as a slave of Cannon and Agumon. Eventually escaped thanks to the help of the Blue Caped bullet kin, before finding out they had all been killed by Cannon. Swearing vengence, he grabbed and improvised what he could. Also found a strange piece of sentient junk while foraging for materials for his Blunderbuss. Came to the Breach and was overcome with happiness after finding the last Blue Caped Bullet Kin.
Starting Items:
Rusty Sidearm (Infinite, obviously)
Blunderbuss
Bug Boots
Decoy
Ser Junkan
Live Ammo
Pros:
- Starts with freaking Junkan
- Good early close range damage
- Immune to contact damage
- Immune to poison
- Can temporarily create a decoy for enemies to target
- Upped dodge speed
Cons:
- Lower starting health (2 casings)
- Slightly lower dodge range
- Slightly decreased shot speed
- Slightly increased bullet spread
- Limited to mostly close range at the start
- Will need to choose between getting Junk or getting better weapons when finding a chest (Unless on a rainbow run. Then you're fine.)
Side Notes:
- Yes, still vanilla-friendly
- May remove Decoy based on feedback. All other items were deemed balanced thanks to the help of Bulbquaza#3271 on the EtG Discord)
- Bosscard will probably be changed a little in the future (I wanted him to be holding the Rusty Sidearm, but I suck at proper proportions so I just made a battered Blasphemy as a placeholder. Still looks cool though.)
- Variant with modded weapons may appear in the near future
Installation Instructions:
- Install Mod The Gungeon and Kyle's Custom Character mod
- Once you have both installed, download the .zip file and extract it. You can simply drag the file out from the .zip on to the desktop or into another folder.
- Find the EtG folder in your computer. For Steam users, you can simply right-click on EtG in your game library and go to Manage -> Browse Local Files. Locate the CustomCharacterData folder that should have been generated when you installed Kyle's Custom Characters mod. Place the folder you got from the .zip file in here. For Epic Games users, open your file explorer and click on the hard drive or storage device you use (Generally C:). Locate the Program Files folder (NOT Program Files x86). Open it, and then locate the Epic Games folder. Open that, and go into the folder labled EtG or Enter the Gungeon. From there, you can place the folder from the .zip of this character into the CustomCharacterData folder.
- Congrats! If done right, it should be fully installed. You can find this character in the Breach or you can swap to it by pressing the tilde key (~) on yout keyboard to open the console and then typing "character rustybullet"
Enjoy the character!
Feel free to leave feedback on the character. I'm always looking for ways to balance a character so it's more fun and balanced for players.
