The Blue Caped bullet kin were the first to rebel against Cannon's rule. They failed. Relentlessly hunted down, all but one were killed. Eventually, their successors, the Red Caped bullet kin would overthrow Cannon and Agumon. The remaining Blue Caped bullet kin has chosen to reside in the Breach, hoping to seek solace in the depths of the Gungeon.
The Blue Caped Bullet Kin is a character designed based on intuition and skill. With only 1 starting casing and 4 armor, You'll need to time dodges to avoid the brunt of damage.
(Video uses an outdated version of this character, but still gets the point across)
Starting Items:
M1 (Infinite)
Springheel Boots
Armor Synthesizer
Pros:
- Fast Dodge time and large range
- Can dodge again in midair, thanks to Springheel Boots
- Can regain some armor in battle thanks to Armor Synthesizer, but don't rely on it
- Extremely accurate with little bullet spread
Cons:
- Very low starting health (Only 1 casing)
- Armor can drain fast if not careful
- Armor Synthesizer's chance isn't enough to counterract a large wave of enemies
- Has no way of getting extra casings, meaning you'll have to spend more at shops to gain armor and leave little for later floors
- Doesn't gain as much from Master Rounds as other characters might
Side Notes:
- This character is designed to be lore-friendly and vanilla-friendly. However, if I decide to do so, a variant using modded weapons might appear.
- Sprites most likely won't change. The sprites for this character is literally intended to be the Bullet with a blue cape. Some minor improvements may be made in the future, but will otherwise be left as they are.
- Although technically fully finished, I would still consider this a WIP due to some potentially needed balancing.
Installation Instructions:
- Install Mod the Gungeon and Kyle's Custom Characters mod
- Once you have both installed, download the .zip file and extract it. You can simply drag the file out from the .zip on to the desktop or into another folder.
- Find the EtG folder in your computer. For Steam users, you can simply right-click on EtG in your game library and go to Manage -> Browse Local Files. Locate the CustomCharacterData folder that should have been generated when you installed Kyle's Custom Characters mod. Place the folder you got from the .zip file in here. For Epic Games users, open your file explorer and click on the hard drive or storage device you use (Generally C:). Locate the Program Files folder (NOT Program Files x86). Open it, and then locate the Epic Games folder. Open that, and go into the folder labled EtG or Enter the Gungeon. From there, you can place the folder from the .zip of this character into the CustomCharacterData folder.
- Congrats! If done right, it should be fully installed. You can find this character in the Breach or you can swap to it by pressing the tilde key (~) on yout keyboard to open the console and then typing "character BlueCapeKin"
Enjoy the character!
I do need feedback regarding this character. I feel that it's fairly balanced, but others may say otherwise. Feel free to leave feedback about rebalancing and I'll try to rebalance the character. This is my first mod after all.
