For a while there, I was another ground soldier, shooting things and moving around to find other things to shoot, with my thumb half-way up my ass like a poe. I don't miss those days at all. But back when I was still a lowly chop not using his education properly, I was in a support role, and I got to use one of these little fellas. I rather enjoyed it, yeah? You'd think that it'd be an underperformer, given how blerrie, uh... odd it looks, but ohhh would you be wrong. Fo' sho'.

It's effectively a KSP that has the magazine of the RPK, fires 100 RPM slower, and can't mount a bipod in exchange for, well...
You can aim down sights with the thing even if you don't have the LMG Steelsights mod installed, and even if you just decide to hipfire with the thing 24/7 like a normal person it's still several orders of magnitude easier to control than any of its LMG bretheren. Such is a LMG jury-rigged together from an AR-pattern weapon.

Mild bit of clipping visible if you're looking at the weapon from the right side because the model I used was meant to take Beta-C 100-round drum mags even though the Shrike is belt-fed IRL.
