Commissioner Garrett: Don't get me wrong, clowns, I don't intend on breaking our little agreement. You screwed over our federal reserve, yes, but then you saved our president, and our nation, from that insidious... thing underneath the White House. Captain Winters agrees with me here when I say this makes us about even. I don't even care what you were doing in the White House in the first place or how on earth you discovered the object and decided to go out of your way to stop it. You earned those pardons.
It's just that, well, something interesting has happened in your absence. If you've been watching the news, there's no doubt you've heard about the elite "crackdown" unit we've been training and deploying as part of our ongoing war on crime, and how they've been taking care of the various copycat groups you've spawned in minutes. They've always had some level of contempt for the dress code of the DCPD, such as painting their masks with skulls and covering them with caution tape among other things, but when they saw the personalization you clowns had given to some of the weapons you turned in they felt inspired and started doing similar things themselves.
Attached to this e-mail are blueprints for some of the things our boys have done. They still consider themselves your enemies, as do I, don't get anything wrong here. But, well, creativity is creativity, and since you so graciously shared some of your designs with us they wanted to return the favor. You may have turned in all your illegal military-grade firearms as part of the "fresh start" arrangement, but our weapons experts believe the designs should still carry over to their civilian-market equivalents just fine if you want to use any of them.
Here's hoping the next time I see you won't be in a courtroom.
