Adds in Sumitomo Type 62 as General-Purpose Machine Gun
Unlock Level: 70
On a single glance, it'll look like a modified FN MAG, heavily on the receiver side, finned barrel, and vastly different grip and stock, but Sumitomo Type 62 is a wholly designed and produced on Japan to replace their aging Browning M1919A4 lease.
Filling the role of Light and Medium Machine Gun when first issued; it is now a General-Purpose Machine Gun role.
Like many military manufactured gun on Japan, it was never exported out.
Features a plethora of attachment that can change the gun role is:
AA barrel (boosted stability & accuracy greatly)
Short barrel
Carry Handle (2 option, one that will increase movement speed)
Stock (Polymer and 'Recycled' option)
Magazine (300rnd Belt, all basic total ammo on the belt, but reduces movement speed)
Since this gun doesnt get featured on any modern media in 3D asset, it was built using a lot of look-alike parts
A joint-collaboration between modders, since I'm not skilled enough to handle some thing listed below xd
Killerwolf as the main partner on this project, many extensive model edit, and '3D model surgeon'
Kitsune Jimmy great help on 'fixing' pd2 multiUV model, texture and marking addition/edit
Cpone help on teaching me how to do hex edit, so the animated ammo belt would be possible
Spoiler!- due to the way the ammo belt is made, it'll increase load time considerably when trying to spawn the gun for the first time. anim tools pls WeaponLib caching system might alleviate this issue a little bit.
Just saying that it does work with the Steelsight Mod
But the problem being that the Ironsight of the LMG is kinda offset, obscuring the view of the front sight

unfortunately, I dont really have any plan to add steelsight aiming support on all of my LMG mod, even if Im back modding pd2
I may gave an LMG the 'ability' to do it, but it'll not be a common trait for my custom LMG mod.

Well that's incredibly a shame, due of the fav that I am actually enjoying the addition of this lmg in the game, as it does spice up my experience lmao
but anyhow, i do respect your decision on this regardless, and I do still enjoy the lmg despite the slight problem of the Obscuring ADS lol

recently I acquired a faithful recreation 3d model of this gun
hopefully, if I'm back modding, I can use the asset to update this mod
