A simple keybind mod to select Frag Grenade as throwable
This mod was created so that people without Gage Weapon Pack #1 can continue to pick Frag Grenades from Grenade Case instead of being forced to use Ace of Spades.
If anybody from Overkill thinks this shouldn't be allowed then you can contact me and I'll take this down. Or you can just tell LastBullet to take it down.
I've only tested by disabling my DLC so I'm not sure will this really works for people who really have no Gage Weapon Pack #1 DLC at all or not. If it doesn't work, please let me know.
How to use ( Again )
Bind it to any key you want in Options > Mod Keybinds > Equip Frag
Then press that key to select Frag Grenade.
Not hating on you AdayDr1en, cause we're friends and all and that would be a douchey thing to do.
But it is true, that would not be considered cheating, as its original intent was to allow DLC #1 owners to, as that achievement said "Share the love" and allow teammates, including the ones that don't own the pack, to have a throwable weapon.
How the grenade case currently works, in my honest opinion with the addition of the Ace of Spades, is seriously flawed. Now people who don't own the DLC, (which in all honesty, DLC Pack #1 shouldn't even exist as all it did was put a $5 [at the time] paywall to an ability that should have been free.) are forced to use the Ace, which is an amazing throwable, but the fact that a grenade case only gives 3 throwables, which are linked to what you have equipped, means that the non owners are at a disadvantage, only getting one card back with each use, which also would cause the "Hoarding the throwables to themselves" issue worse.
A simple fix for the issue would be to infact, allow you to select whatever throwable you want to use, DLC owner or not, but don't allow them to start with one, and instead, force them to use a throwable from the box. That way, people who don't want to use the Ace are able to use a more viable throwing weapon, but still are given incentive to buy the packs.
An example would be someone doesn't own the DLC. You click onto the throwable weapon you want to use, say the Molotov for instance. When the game starts, you will not have access to the Molotov you chose, being left with no throwable, but as soon as you go to a grenade case placed by a DLC owner's inside man, BOOM! You open up the briefcase, and like the one in Pulp Fiction, you see a heavenly glow, amazed by it, you look inside to find... A BEAUTIFUL MOLOTOV COCKTAIL, READY TO COOK SOME CLOAKERS! This is exactly what you wanted, like Christmas morning, but in the middle of a heist being commited in the summer. You get a taste of what it's like to be the ELITE! [or sheep like myself who buys the DLC day one because I love Overkill]
