Enable modding
This does not show you how to install mods, but rather set your game up ready for mods to be installed.
These edits are required for installed mods to work in your game.

You will need to add the following line to the Fallout4Prefs.ini file below the section marked [Launcher]:

bEnableFileSelection=1

You will need to change the following line in Fallout4.ini:

sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS, TEXTURES, MUSIC, SOUND, INTERFACE, MESHES, PROGRAMS, MATERIALS, LODSETTINGS, VIS, MISC, SCRIPTS, SHADERSFX\

Steps:

1- Open Documents>My Games>Fallout 4 folder and select "Fallout4Prefs"

2- Open it with Notepad

3- Scroll down and you will find "Launcher" section. Add: bEnableFileSelection=1. Save and close

4- Select "Fallout4" folder and open it with Notepad

5- Scroll down and you will find "Archive" section. Where it says: sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS

6- Add: , TEXTURES, MUSIC, SOUND, INTERFACE, MESHES, PROGRAMS, MATERIALS, LODSETTINGS, VIS, MISC, SCRIPTS, SHADERSFX

And that's it!

Install mods
Steam>steamapps>common>Fallout 4>Data

This is the folder where all the files will get placed.

Installing a mod with plugins [ESP and ESM files]
1- A Fallout 4's mod should be a rar file
(For example: EasyLockpicking.esp)

2- Just extract it and drag it into "Data" folder

And you have installed your mod!
