So 3 weeks ago, as a response to the flooding of the home page by a new game that got added to the site, I changed the default sorting on the home page to popular (daily), this has been also an experiment to see if we should set it as the default sorting on the home page for good.

Nobody, really, but I thought I should document the process I go through while modding this game, what with the 10th anniversary coming up.

Without further ado, I present:

"Wait, people still play this?"
A comprehensive New Vegas modding guide.

This is gonna cover the basics for a more stable, clean, fast performing, and slightly better looking Fallout: New Vegas experience, with an emphasis in expanding and modernizing gunplay, as well as making the game more PC friendly and get rid of as many bugs as possible. For this reason, I will categorize this guide into several chapters dedicated to separate areas of modding.

Chapter 1: The basics, AKA "So many tools..."

Double entedres aside, here's what you're gonna need:
