So about the shield + gun combo.

Do you want to keep it as it is

Or make it customizable BUT with health, after X shots will break? This version of the shield can have one of the following mod.

• Assault Shield: Reduces shield health, increases weapon damage, stagger, accuracy, and reload speed.
  
• Reactive Targeting:  Increases shield health, mark enemies
  
• Kinetic Breaker: Standard stats, damaged received to shield heals the player
