Extracting payday models

Ok, I downloaded the free version of PD2 from this site: http://crohasit.com/payday-2-free-download/. I also have PD2 Bundle Modder 1.16.3.2 and Diesel Tool 1.03. But can someone please provide instructions on how to use these softwares? Because I already got step 1 accomplished for turning these models into MMD models (which is download the game and locate the assets folder).

Also, after looking at the mods on this site (such as the White Medic), this gives me an idea for new clothes and accessories to get from PD2. So yeah, could you also instruct me how to modify a character (EG, turn the default taser unit into the yellow taser (https://modworkshop.net/mydownloads.php?action=view_down&did=1523))?

One more thing, is the PD2 from that site I downloaded the latest version? Because it has to have the model file of the Medic unit when I extract the bundle files. The Medic will play an important role as one of the doctors in my MMD Drama. But for now, all I see in the assets folder are a bunch of letters and numbers in the bundle file names. So I need to know, is the Medic in this version of the full game I downloaded?

The unit you're looking for (Medic) is a fairly new addition. Around October/November iirc.

About how to use those 2 software.
You use PD2 Bundle Modder to extract payday 2 asset. I believe you already know how to do it, and have the knowledge to extract the entire game package.
Diesel Model Tool is the one you use convert the pd2 proprietary 3D object .model format into a format that can be read by any 3D modeler program.

Diesel Model Tool in this case convert it to .obj format.
But be warned, that the character model you extract won't have any rigging iirc.

To use Diesel Model Tool
Browse the Input File. Asset file where you want to extract the 3D object.
The new window opened will only look for .model file, so direct the Browse window into the directory where the pd2 model is placed.
When you 'Open' the selected .model file, the tool will automatically convert it into .obj and place it on the directory where the .model you first browse as Input file.
In my experience, you only need the asset-file-name.obj, and you can ignore the asset-file-name_pattern_uv.obj
That's it!

The 2 selection below browse Input File (Output File and Import Model) is mainly for modding in things back into Payday 2 proprietary format, so you won't need those.

Ok, I'll update you as soon as I analysed what models I was able to extract and convert.
