📢 ModWorkshop x Sidetrack Games

Hey everyone, Milk here. You might remember me as the one who manages ModWorkshop from behind the scenes.

I've got some good News for all of you.

Me and Luffy decided to join ModWorkshop with Sidetrack Games (the guys who made RAID: WW2 updates and maintain PAYDAY 2)

Going forward that means there wont be any more ads. Nobody liked those anyways.
It also means we will have some more resources to run ModWorkshop, so it'll be a bit faster.

As for how ModWorkshop works and operates, that does not change.
The community continues to be in charge and makes the decisions that matter.

This generally means the burden of everything isn't just on me alone anymore.
And it also means that there is better future ahead for ModWorkshop.
Running certain things alone has not always been easy.

So to a better future and lots of cool new mods.

Some QOL suggestions

There are a couple of suggestions that I would perhaps like to see implemented in a future version of MWS if it were possible.

Currently as it stands right now when you hide someone's mods, it is basically a pseudo-block button. There is practically no difference between blocking someone and hiding their mods. I did a conducted a test to see if hiding someones mods profile would allow them to comment on my mods, and it restricted them from commenting on my mods, which was basically the same as them being blocked. I was hoping that hopefully in a future version, the ignore mods button only make it so that you don't have to see their mods, but they can still comment on mods or interact with you on this website.

Another suggestion I would also like to see implemented is being able to hide certain categories of mods from being seen on your front page. Example being that you want to see mods for PAYDAY 2, but you want to completely filter out Voice over mods or custom heist track mods.

One more suggestion to re-expand on the categories of mods, having a category for each character like Dallas or Sydney was nice because you can filter out anything else you didn't want to see. This is also a big problem in PAYDAY 3, because a lot of the categories are very broad in what they do, or are not possible, example being the add-on heister category which is not possible to have since you can only replace characters, not add on to it with the tools we currently have. Having certain categories for outfits, gloves, equipment like sentries or armor bags would also be helpful.

There could be a suggestion categories tab similar to how Nexus does it where a user can make their own suggested category of the mod they are making and see if it could be fit to be officially added.

Thanks for the suggestions, but it would really be useful if you separated it to threads, this way we can focus on each suggestion/issue better and discuss them separately.

Duly noted, if I do make a request with multiple suggestions, I shall separate them.
