Unpack tools
Avatar

Hello friends, could you please provide me with tools for unpacking hash or fcb files? I'm not sure what they're correctly called.
These files are located in the "unknown" folders.
I can certainly unpack the FAT file using Pitcrew, and then I look for handling, torque, and other values in the subsequent list.
However, I can't find anything to convert them into a readable format.
I constantly create my own difficult handling setup. This involves:
Completely disabling front-end yaw (I've already done this)
Lowering tire grip
Increasing RPM
Reducing downforce
Disabling automatic steering return
In TDU 2, simply reducing downforce was enough to make the car spin 180 degrees when over-accelerating on bumps or in a turn.
But in The Crew, I need to heavily modify the handling: increasing RPM, reducing grip, lowering downforce, and many other changes to achieve understeer, a tendency to fly off the road—like in real life when traction control is disabled on expensive cars that aren't going fast enough for the downforce to work.
Basically, I want to create a "manly" handling setup.
I've tried changing the gravity factor in the game in both directions, but then the cars start to shake and the traffic jumps around even when they are stopped.
I would be grateful if you could share the tool or instructions. I'm looking for help from those who have actually done this in practice.

For wanting to edit the variables of this game you'll want to use something like FCBConverter or the compiled version of ConvertBinaryObject found on the TCU discord (source code is here if you wish to compile it yourself).

If using ConvertBinaryObject, you need to put -e along with the file you wish to convert into an XML. This will also provide depth values which is required to know if you want to have a mod that's compatible with the rest of the mods you see here using this as a guideline.

If you're just making a mod solely for personal use and don't wish to share it with anyone, so as long you backup your original files you can replace the DAT files manually, though you will need to turn off all mods using PitCrew since it takes priority of your files to make the mods work together.
