📢 ModWorkshop x Sidetrack Games

Hey everyone, Milk here. You might remember me as the one who manages ModWorkshop from behind the scenes.

I've got some good News for all of you.

Me and Luffy decided to join ModWorkshop with Sidetrack Games (the guys who made RAID: WW2 updates and maintain PAYDAY 2)

Going forward that means there wont be any more ads. Nobody liked those anyways.
It also means we will have some more resources to run ModWorkshop, so it'll be a bit faster.

As for how ModWorkshop works and operates, that does not change.
The community continues to be in charge and makes the decisions that matter.

This generally means the burden of everything isn't just on me alone anymore.
And it also means that there is a better future ahead for ModWorkshop.
Running certain things alone has not always been easy.

So to a better future and lots of cool new mods.

  • Fixed markdown editor resetting its height when typing.
  • Fixed some users not being able to save their user settings.
  • Changed heading's font weight to be a bit less heavy.
  • Added text shadow for colored text on light mode.
  • Added new anchor buttons to headings:
  • Added new API routes:
    • api.modworkshop.net/latest Returns - latest file by version, this works best when paired with semver. You can also use ?prerelease to get prerelease files.
    • api.modworkshop.net/latest/version - same as the previous but returns version.
    • api.modworkshop.net/primary - returns the primary file (if it's set and is a file)
    • api.modworkshop.net/latest/version - same as previous but returns version.
  • Updated Nuxt and Laravel to latest.

I noticed formatting on my modpage after this update has broke and now appear squashed.

From a glance on your mod, I think you are misusing headers, don't use them on long text like this. That being said, I will look into changing how headers work with long text.

it wasn't squashed like this in the past and i haven't touched any of this text since i uploaded the mod a year ago.

I don't understand how me using #, ## and colour changing formatting in long text is misuing headers. I uploaded this mod 1 year ago and my mod has always used headers this way and worked perfectly fine with 0 issues. After this update, and I'm assuming this update based on "Changed heading's font weight to be a bit less heavy." Now all my headers especially those that change the font colour or have a link are completely broken. All my headers are on seperate lines but are now formatted to be on the same line which is squashed and making text unreadable.

This isn't the only weird bugs I've noticed on site. There's the forced auto scroll to bottom of the page bug when you click "load more" at the bottom of the page on mods, however you said this is intentional despite the fact it never did this in the past and it's quite annoying. This has also started happening on modpages where the page auto jumps to the bottom of the comment section IF it is on screen whatsoever when scrolling in the mod description. So on mods where the mod description is incredibly short I'm instantly jumped to the bottom of comment section for no reason.

This stuff is genuinely annoying to deal with, especially that I use MWS practically daily and I really want it to be fixed as it's starting to make the site unuseable.
