So 3 weeks ago, as a response to the flooding of the home page by a new game that got added to the site, I changed the default sorting on the home page to popular (daily), this has been also an experiment to see if we should set it as the default sorting on the home page for good.

I'd prefer if it was filtered too Publish Dates first that way if its an older mod that got an update, it's not getting mixed in with the new stuff but thats just me personally really for the payday 2/FFXV section but I think its fine it ultimately stays the way it is now.
There should be a default sorting option if there isn't one already. That way everybody gets what they want.
There is, go to the content settings page. This is the default globally.
Are you talking about the flood of Garry's Mod mods posted by the same dude? The hell was that anyway? Does he know the Steam Workshop exists?
Putting my 2 cents into this, I think they probably did it because they like this site more, they can't upload it to the Steam Workshop, or just because.
from what i heard, the reason was due to paranoia of steam workshop falling and just losing everything they had because of nintendo

on the other hand, VALVe is worth like $7 billion dollars more than Nintendo, and all the mods they uploaded here AIN'T EVEN INVOLVE NINTENDO
