Email notifications

Is it possible to forward notifications to my email, so I can know about them without manually going to ModWorkshop? I genuinely had no clue my mod was broken, because I haven't really played since I made it, and nobody told me elsewhere...

To be more specific, the minimum I want is opt-in emails for direct mentions or comments on your own mods. Anything else isn't as big of a deal, and in particular, sending emails for new versions of mods you follow would likely just be a lot of wasted bandwidth people wouldn't actually look at.

Unfortunately for now no. I may consider it in the future, but currently it will cost us a lot if we started sending emails left and right.

Totally fair. Cost mitigation was a reason I was specific about what notifications I think are worth sending, so it isn't something happening for every user on the site :P

@commenter I think the only way to do it would be to send it periodically with clear limits, for example for users that didn't login for some time or have it opt-in by default

@luffy That'd be totally fair. Honestly, even if it was just a one-time email once it's been 30 days or more since my last visit, and the email had no actual specifics and was just "You have notifications directly addressing you." I think that would be vastly better than nothing at all.
