I never use Pickaxes because of this, there's no real advantage over the other weapons; after a certain level all the melee weapons do the same damage (Maybe except the Spear?) but the Blocker always takes the first hit to the helmet, even with the Pickaxe that "does more damage to Armored enemies", which might be true, but only important when at you're at a low level where helmets take more than one hit
