Mod Rejection Appeal
Avatar

My mod, https://modworkshop.net/mod/47570, got rejected for "Not allowed music that is not freely available to download (ex: music that must be purchased)"

This is strange, since another mod, https://modworkshop.net/mod/37714, which uses tracks from the same game, from the same composer, which are also not technically available to download for free (only being really downloadable from Pavli's Bandcamp), was approved. https://modworkshop.net/mod/34621 This mod was approved as well.

Note that all of the tracks are available on Youtube and Spotify, so there shouldn't really be a reason to deny the mod for the songs being a paid download on bandcamp, that's mostly just to show support. I know I'm not supposed to compare cases as per the rules, but I'm wondering why those mods were accepted but my mod was denied.

Upon closer examination and discussion with the rest of the mod team, the music mod you posted didnt break any real music approval rules. Even if it is to be purchased on bandcamp, the allowed ruling of "Music specifically composed for games etc." would take precedent first.

I apologize for the confusion. If willing, please put the mod back up so we can approve it.

This was my error though, but we are just humans and not machines. Thank you!
