If you previously downloaded these backgrounds and then uninstalled them due to a bug related to extreme colour distortion, this has now been fixed and I encourage you to redownload them!
A companion mod to my other mod upload Vanilla Logo Variants, allowing you to have a colour specific version of the stock background.
Why isnt it animated?
Due to how Menu Backgrounds works, the smoke and flame effects are removed from the main menu. Animated backgrounds, while possible, are significantly more unstable and cause crashes, static ones however do not.
Why does it look different to the actual vanilla background?
I'm unsure, to be honest. I did rip the assets straight from the game's files, so it's not inaccurate fan art or anything like that. I also didnt include the background that's underneath the details because it was very low res and didnt look good in game. That being said, using the methods I did, this is absolutely the definitive way to have colour variations of the stock backdrop.
Why is Crime.net blurry?
Again a limitation (or feature?) of Menu Backgrounds is that the image dosent move with the icons when browsing Crime.net to make this less jarring but still technically vanilla I decided to just cover the image in guassian blur so it's still there but less tacky

Installation steps:
- Download Menu Backgrounds
- Download your colour of choice (or all of them, you can switch between them freely without restarting your game)
- move Vanilla Menu (your colour) (the folder inside not the rar file itself) to PAYDAY 2\mods\Menu Backgrounds\Assets
- open your game
- options
- mod options
- menu backgrounds
- select your background
- Enjoy!
