The LAS-5 Scythe unlocks at level 30 and appears as the Flamethrower Mk.1 to people who own the BBQ Weapon Pack, appears as the AMCAR otherwise.

This weapon is special. Instead of ray-casting bullets, the Scythe fires a continuous laser beam, dealing 35 damage per-hit, as well as having a small chance of setting enemies on fire. This damage cannot be increased with damage increasing skills, but retains the headshot multiplier, dealing increased damage on headshots. Like every other weapon from the LAS family, it runs on heatsinks, allowing pseudo-infinite firing by cooling down the Internal Cooling Element when not actively using the weapon. For heatsinks, it comes with 2 options: a high-capacity one, allowing for longer continuous firing, but slower regeneration rate; and a high-dissipation heatsink, allowing the user to cool off and reload faster, at the cost of reduced capacity.
