About
Commissioned from Malfaltto as part of a suite of bespoke perk decks custom-made for a special group of heisters:
- Apothecary Perk Deck, for Malfaltto
- Ferret Perk Deck, for Mint
- Gun Nut Perk Deck, for jcrispy
- Animal Perk Deck, for Leviathan
The decks were each designed for the playstyles of a particular heister in the group, and were intended to synergize with one another.
Sound design by Malfaltto. Programming by Offyerrocker.
Perk design by Malfaltto and Offyerrocker. Perk card art by Bummy and Mint.
Extremely good and finished placeholder art in the Animal Perk Deck by Offyerrocker
These perk decks were commissioned to the desires of specific individuals and generally designed with the goal of "fun to play" rather than "balanced for Jules' idea of difficulty", so please keep that in mind. It's unbalanced on purpose.
Compatibility and Dependencies
-
Install to your mods folder. SuperBLT and BeardLib are required.
-
It is strongly recommended that you uninstall other modded perk decks or gameplay overhauls. These perk decks change a lot of code, and conflicts may cause some perks to not work or behave in unexpected ways, or the game could just crash.
-
For the same reason, I also strongly recommend you only have one of these decks installed at a time.
-
Do not feed the Animal Perk Deck after midnight.
THIS MOD HAS SANDBOXED MATCHMAKING!
These perk decks change some networking code (namely for contours) so the pack will cause crashes if used in public lobbies.
It is therefore sandboxed for matchmaking- while it is installed and enabled, you can only play offline, or online with other players who also have the mod installed. Please remember to disable it or uninstall it when you wish to play online again!
Perk Deck Descriptions and Perk Lists
Animal
The Animal is a deck that's great for Overwatch Winston fans people who enjoy the power fantasy of unrivaled power, sheer bloody chaos, and brutal melee combat, and also maybe throwing yourself at enemies like a human projectile.
More akin to a wild beast than a professional bank robber, The Animal is the personification of raw, feral ferocity. To the crew that knows how to use this, they are often let loose in wild fits of boundless violence, pouncing at their foes and ripping them apart in a frenzy. Seen primarily as a mindless weapon with no direction, one can only imagine the driving force behind The Animal's actions. Promises of food, fights and loot? Probably, yeah. Best not fail to live up to that promise of food though, lest you find yourself on the receiving end of its rage.

1. Hunter
Unlock usage of the Howler, replacing your throwable. Upon pressing [grenade], enter an animalistic frenzy, stowing your primary and secondary weapons and preventing you from performing interactions. In return, gain access to a devastating melee Pounce strike that deals significant damage upon contact with an enemy, as well as a Howl ability that stuns nearby enemies with a deafening screech. Pounce has a cooldown of 3 seconds, and is activated with your "steelsights" keybind. Howl has a cooldown of 7 seconds, and is activated with your "primary attack" keybind.
Additionally, you gain +100% melee damage and +75% faster movement speed while using Howler.
This item has a 120 second cooldown, and is reduced by 1 seconds for a ranged kill, 2 for a melee kill, and 3 for a pounce kill.
Tasers who attempt to tase you in this state are instead stunned.
Note: Howler state can be manually ended by holding [grenade] for 1 second. When you manually cancel Howler, you are refunded 75% of the remaining duration towards your cooldown.
3. Skin Thick As Steel
Convert all armor to health.
Taking damage does not deal it all at once, instead dealing it over time. When an enemy damages you, they are marked, with the amount of damage increasing the tier of mark. Upon a successful kill on an enemy that has dealt damage to you, negate the remaining damage over time dealt to you by that enemy, and additionally heal you for 10% of the negated damage.
5. Opportunistic
Upon killing an enemy, restore a percentage of your maximum health, depending on the type of attack: Headshot kills restore 5%, and Melee kills restore 10% (Pounce melee kills restore an additional 10%).
You deal triple the amount of melee damage to marked enemies.\nKilling a marked enemy resets the Pounce cooldown. Killing a Special Unit with a Pounce grants 3 stacking seconds of invulnerability.
7. Throwing Your Weight Around
Landing a Pounce stuns nearby units, knocking down the target.
Your speed is now unaffected by armor.
9. I Am Leviathan
Upon taking lethal damage during Howler, you drop from your rage, and are instead healed by 50% of your maximum health.
For every enemy currently attacking you, you have 1 stack of Pack Hunted. Each stack of Pack Hunted grants you 5% damage resistance, up to a cap of 50%, and killing a marked target restores 5% health per stack.
Killing an enemy while in rage increases the rage duration by 3 seconds.
Note: The individual for whom this perk deck was tailored quit PAYDAY 2 a while ago, so it didn't get as many playtest/revision cycles as I'd have liked, but it's still such a fun perk deck in its current unfinished state that I think others should have the chance to try it. (It's also one of the most complex and featured perk decks I've ever made.)
Ferret
The Ferret deck is for players who enjoy a support role- completing objectives, helping your teammates out of pickles and providing openings in dense enemy formations.
Players who like being a crucial part of the mission but don't need the glory of front-line combat will enjoy this deck.
With boundless energy and thievery running in the family, the Ferret is a natural fit for any crew of heisters. While fragile, their dexterity allows them to weave through crowds and get into places they aren't supposed to much quicker than the average criminal. They typically serve more of a support role in a crew by picking locks, securing loot, and picking up teammates, leaving the heavier hitters free to watch their back.

9. Can't Sit Still
Upon reviving an ally, Flick is applied to all enemies within 10 meters, allowing you and your ally to get out of danger, and you gain a temporary 25% damage reduction for 5 seconds.
Gun Nut
Gun Nut is a heavily defensive deck, focusing on rewarding gunplay and positioning, and encouraging users to defend territory and push back waves.
The Gun Nut isn't just a fanatical hoplophile or a trigger-happy hillbilly - it's someone who's realized that they have things worth defending, more than possessions- friends, brothers and sisters, comrades in arms - and they're depending on you. Each gun is a vow whispered, every bullet a promise fulfilled: "None shall bring harm to my friends; None shall pass. Come forth and face annihilation." Your comrades are counting on you; Don't let them down.

Every stack of Spool Up increases chance of firing without using ammunition by 5%.
You gain an additional +5% Armor.
9. I'm Not Done Yet
Wearing the Improved Combined Tactical Vest increases maximum Spool Up stacks by 5.
At maximum stacks, you may fire past ammo depletion, drawing from ammo reserves.
When fire has halted, instead of losing all stacks of Spool Up, one stack of Spool Up decays per second. The initial amount of time before stacks begin to decays also increases by 0.5 seconds per kill made, capped at 10 seconds.
Apothecary
Apothecary is a strong support deck with great offensive capabilities, and a major emphasis on crowd control.
Fast, deadly, and nigh-unkillable, the Apothecary is adept at taking control of the battlefield, bombarding enemies with suffocating clouds of poisonous gas. Don't be fooled, though- they aren't hiding out of cowardice... you just can't see them coming.

1. Biological Warfare
Unlocks the Catalyzer, replacing your throwable. Upon activating, all instances of damage dealt by poison gas ramp up over time, adding an additional 2 damage per second for 10 seconds. 90 second cooldown. Every kill decreases the cooldown by 1 second.

5. Breathe Deep
+20 HP. Catalyzer's initial duration increases by 1 second for every enemy taking poison gas damage upon activation. Increase ramp up damage to an additional 4 per second.
7. Toxic Relationship
While the Catalyzer is active, for every 5 enemies killed by allies or poison gas damage, you and all allies restore 5% health. If the unit dies from an ally's melee attack, this amount increases to 10%. Increase ramp up damage to an additional 5 per second.
9. Coursing Through Your Veins
+30 HP. Upon activating Catalyzer, all allies gain a 30% speed boost, with your own being refreshed by 1 second on melee kill and doubles all healing from gas sources.
Kills now decrease the Catalyzer cooldown by 2 seconds.
You deal 50% more damage to enemies who are afflicted by poison gas.
Overexposure to these toxins has bolstered your body; you gain 4% damage reduction instead of 2%, and reload grenade launchers 50% quicker.
Feedback and Bug Reports
I'm not sure if/when I'll find the time and motivation to properly develop this again, but I will try to fix bugs at least. Comments, feedback, and bug reports are welcome as well.
I hope you enjoy these very special perk decks!
