TL;DR: Instead of getting told "Proceed to Strongpoint" when you select Strongpoint, you'll get told something like "Eliminate the targets." or "Infiltrate the compound." which makes Blitz missions even more randomized.
The closest thing RAID will get to rogue-lite mode!
Are you tired of starting a Blitz, seeing a map you don't like, and instantly resetting? Want a little more variety in play, and to not spend so much time worrying about over-optimizing for the level you've been served?
With the power of Dynamic Localization, now instead of being told to "Proceed to (map)", you'll be given a hint to the objective by Mrs. White, from a pool of many relevant hints, many of which get reused between different levels. The idea being, instead of seeing "Tiger Trap", you might see "Our intel suggests tanks may be nearby". or "Infiltrate the enemy depot.". Pulling up the tab-screen will clue you in if the mission is stealthable, loud-only, or somewhere in-between. I like to imagine it's Mrs. White's comments lining the notes of your dossier.
Now, the only way to know for certain which map you're headed to next is to pay attention to voice cues, and read the mission intel on the desk yourself. Otherwise, you'll just have to prepare for the OBJECTIVES, rather than the MAP. For players who want the Blitzes to feel a little closer to the random RPG-style vision Ilija Petrusic originally had for the game, this might just help.
No more missions! Only objectives!!
Q: So all this does is rename missions?
A: No! Mission names are not changed, so you can still choose whichever map you fancy directly from the list.
Q: So, what does this mod change?
A: The "Proceed to X" objective text that appears and holds in the top-right in the player's camp after a stage is selected.
Q: Does this mod sync between clients?
A: No. Other players who have the mod will get a different hint than you will, but will still be map-relevant.
Q: What does the mod require to work?
A: SuperBLT and Dynamic Localization.
