The LAS-16 Sickle is a primary, energy-based assault rifle that unlocks at level 20 and appears as the Colt M16A4 (AMR-16 Rifle).
This weapon features a unique "overheat" mechanic as seen in Helldivers 2, but slightly changed up for PAYDAY 2: Not firing the weapon while the magazine is not full for 0.5s will cause ammo to regenerate at a rate of 5 rounds per second, to a total of 87. Fully depleting the magazine will require a reload like usual, and the weapon can be reloaded partially at any time.
The weapon's stats are mostly adapted from its stats in Helldivers 2: Decent accuracy and recoil, mid damage and a high rate of fire.
Uses a slightly edited Galant empty reload animation for both of the Sickle's reloads.
KNOWN ISSUE:Despite not shooting bullets, when firing, bullet casing SFX will still be heard.
