The Overwatch Standard Issue Pulse Rifle (OSIPR for short) unlocks at level 51 and appears as the Izhmash AK-12 (AK17 Rifle).
Copies stats from the AK17 with the exception of reload speed, RPM and ammo capacity. The OSIPR's recoil is strong. The weapon's spread is much worse when firing the weapon in automatic mode, so firing it in short bursts is highly recommended (this also conserves ammo). Furthermore, it only holds three magazines, which are easy to go through if firing in automatic mode.
Known Issues: - When firing/reloading the OSIPR, its shells will noticibly fly to their respective positions at the end of the animation.
Doesn't affect gameplay. Will be fixed if a solution is found.
- Currently doesn't have a proper animation set.
QnA:
Q: No secondary fire with the energy ball? A:Not yet, at least. I haven't found a good way to implement the OSIPR's secondary fire without the game either crashing or not launching outright.
Q: Why is the hold animation one-handed? A:For one, it's more authentic to the Source™ material. And two, since the weapon doesn't have a proper reload animation, i saw no point in using a two-handed hold animation. A big drawback to that is that the weapon uses the pistols' melee swings by default, which can look a bit weird, and I also had to cut the inspect animation for the exact same reason.
