This mod adds a new menu in BLT's mod options, that allows you to change some controller settings that aren't normally configurable in the vanilla game's options, in order to make the gamepad experience a bit more comfortable.
Notably; being able to change aiming deadzones and acceleration, including the ability to turn off the horrendous horizontal acceleration zone that slows down the camera on the slightest vertical movement.
This is for controller users only. If you're playing with mouse and keyboard, there is no reason to use this.
Options added:
-
Stick Deadzone Start: How far the stick has to move from the center before registering camera movement. Game default: 0.02
-
Stick Deadzone End: How far the stick has to move towards the outer edge before accelerating the camera. Game default: 0.95
-
Stick Horizontal Deadzone: How much the stick is allowed to deviate from the horizontal axis before deaccelerating. Recommend setting to -0.01, otherwise sensitivity will feel inconsistent. Game default: 0.95
-
Acceleration Delay: How long it takes for camera acceleration to ramp up to full speed. Lower is faster, higher is slower. 0 will crash the game. Game default: 1
-
Camera Speed: How quickly the camera moves relative to the controller sensitivity settings. Game default: 110
-
Camera Speed (Acceleration): How quickly the camera moves when fully ramped up from acceleration. Game default: 340
-
Camera Speed (Steel sight): How quickly the camera moves when aiming down sights with a weapon. Game default: 60
The settings can be modified in the middle of an on-going heist. Any changes made will apply instantly.
I don't have any plans to further expand on this mod.
