The AR-23 Liberator unlocks at level 0 and appears as the Izhmash AK-12 (AK17 Rifle).
The Liberator is a high-power military-issue spreader of democracy with a relatively low kick and good gun control. It can also penetrate through light armor, but will struggle with most heavier armors. Despite having a very high total ammo count (having a whopping 8 spare magazines), the whole mag will be completely discarded when partially reloading the weapon, so like General Brasch always said: Waste ENEMIES, NOT bullets!
As of Version 4, the Liberator now includes all 3 of its variants: Penetrator, Concussive and Carbine. These variants allow for different approaches and playstyles, and add some cool visual flair to the weapon.
