The AR-23 Liberator unlocks at level 0 and appears as the Izhmash AK-12 (AK17 Rifle).
The Liberator is a high-power military-issue spreader of democracy with a relatively low kick and good gun control. It can also penetrate through light armor, but will struggle with most heavier armors. Despite having a very high total ammo count (having a whopping 8 spare magazines), the whole mag will be completely discarded when partially reloading the weapon, so aim well and don't waste your precious ammo!
As of Version 4, the Liberator now includes all 3 of its variants: Penetrator, Concussive and Carbine. These variants allow for different approaches and playstyles, and add some cool visual flair to the weapon.
