What's janky about it? It copies the exact orientation, scaling, and positioning of it on the original van to a T, including the mild tilt it has in-game

The decal is meant to follow the indent along the side of the van. I considered it janky because it crosses over the indent substantially, and appears crooked or incorrect as a result.

Look at the original van texture from PD2 in-game. It is also slightly crooked (not on the texture, but actually in-game)
I replicated it as closely as possible, flaws and all. Spent far too long making the front fender part slope downwards appropriately like the original. I took this as an attention to detail worldbuilding aspect from the original texture artist, showing a lazy amateur application of the decal, implying the crew did it themselves with no real care

The decal follows the indent line on the van in PD2, as such I designed mine to also follow the indent line but for the PD3 van. While I understand your reasons for replicating it, I personally think it looks quite awkward on the new van.
