As we all know, most melee weapons in payday 2 are practically useless and almost completely invalidated by THE META [aka the Katana and Ice Pick]. This mod seeks to change that, by buffing most melee weapons to be viable and somewhat distinct. As well as this, the mod changes a lot of the repeat and repeat expire stats for weapons to make using them much smoother.
This mod separates melee weapons into classes, those being:
Electrical/Knockdown: No stats changed.
Light: 30 damage, 1s charge, concealment 30
Medium: 70-450 dmg, 3s charge, concealment 29
Heavy: 80-460 dmg, 4s charge, concealment 28
Superheavy: 120-480 dmg, 4s charge, concealment 27
All of this makes the different melee weapons useful, unique, and viable.
The decisions of how much damage each weapon does is based on the health of enemies on mayhem+, where a light enemy has 480 health. With the 2x bonus of pumping iron and the 2x bonus of frenzy+berzerker, it takes 120 damage to kill them in one shot.
Therefore, weapons in the superheavy class make up for their slow speed by being able to one-shot light units, while the bonuses that other classes get are just to get them up to the basic requirements to deal serious damage at that level.
