CSS w_models for NPC weapons
Replaces the low poly NPC weapon models with a different set of low poly weapon models, coming from Counter-Strike Source and being nothing more than modified CS 1.6 view models. The weapon replacement is mostly self-explanatory, but let me elaborate anyway:
- The "Chimano" is a Glock without a flashlight, no surprises here
- The incredibly rare silenced Beretta is a silenced USP (Dallas and Wolf use them in bleedout and briefly during certain mission starts)
- The "Bronco" (Raging Bull) is a Desert Eagle
- The "Mark 11" is a MAC-10. I removed the grip strap thingy as it never moves and looks silly.
- The "CMP" used by Shields is an unsuppressed TMP
- The "Jackal" used by Murkywater and rare GenSec SWAT spawns is a UMP45 without the front grip
- The "Compact-5" is a less tacticool MP5
- Speaking of tacticool MP5s, Cloaker's gun in now a P90, as it's the only remaining SMG option
- The pump shotgun is an M3 Super 90, flashlight and all
- Both the "Izhma" (Saiga) and the rare Benelli are replaced with an XM1014. This affects the Russian Bulldozer as well.
- The AK used by various thugs is an AK, naturally. The Russian mercs use a separate model which is changed as well. I made it in a way it doesn't affect the textures used also by map props, but it seems to do something funny anyway, I don't know, this game is weird.
- The "CAR-4" is a less tacticool M4A1. The Taser's version has bright yellow furniture.
- The "JP36" is the SG-552. It makes as much sense as the G36, but the bullpup weapons would look off.
- The "Eagle Heavy" (SCAR) used by scripted Murky spawns is a scopeless G3
- The sniper rifle is an SG-550. It has a longer barrel than the CS:S G3SG/1 model and the snipers in PD2 sometimes have a laser sight module mounted on the barrel. This weapon is also used by the Zeal Marksmen, and this is the only reason I didn't use the AWP instead.
- Lastly, the "KSP" machine gun is an M249 with the collapsed paratrooper stock.
The other weapons used by Russian mercenaries are not replaced and I have no intention to do so. Only the shared weapons like the shotguns are affected. Unique weapons like Ernesto Sosa's Little Friend are also untouched. I am, however, considering replacing the weapons used by US Marshall enemies. More Benelli and a worse looking Deagle, I guess. Please let me know if you discover anything like the props being bugged; I already made sure the shotgun and AK props wouldn't be.
