Simple. Replaces the USP firing sounds, including suppressed ones. No reloading sounds as they are in a large shared soundbank and there is no real way around that.
The sounds from CS Source, even though i prefer 1.6, is actually damn good.
This particular one is a spot-on that it works just great. The only issue i have is the reload sound is missing that is from the same "source". I understand if you can't include that due to speed that requires to be manually edited.
Not all sounds from CS Source will be included, will they?
I am absolutely not going to look through 926 sound files in regular_weapon_sfx.bnk to find which sounds are used by what, among other technical reasons that are too boring to explain. The pistol soundbanks do not have their own reloading sounds, with some exceptions. If possible, I will try to replace them, like I tried with the Scout previously (but I had to remove empty reloading sounds due to some silly sound design).
Among other things, regular_weapon_sfx.bnk has shotgun pumping sounds. Replacing just one sound is... technically perfectly possible. But let's say you want pistol reloading sounds replaced as well. And they are also in the same sound bank. You will have two mutually exclusive mods this way, and you will have to "merge" the changed files... and to do that you'd have to figure out which sounds are those, because they have no names. It is an INSANE amount of hassle and a massive waste of time, unless it is a big project to replace a metric ton of sounds in this soundbank.
Some sounds like "detection" are located outside any soundbanks, and are easily replaced individually. Unfortunately, this is not the case for the majority of weapon sounds, and trying to replace a small number of them is just not worth the trouble and requires more dedication than a typical human being can afford.
