Replaces the firing and some of the reloading sounds of the Steyr Scout sniper rifle with those from Counter-Strike: Source. The changes are:
Firing sounds (not suppressed)
Bolt cycling sounds after firing
Tactical reloading sounds
Empty reloading sounds are default, as are suppressed firing sounds. The empty reload uses bolt back and mag out sounds interchangeably, and there is no real way to replace those without sounding weird. Something similar seems to happen with bolt forward and down sounds, but I was too sore to figure that crap out. This game has one of the sound designs of all time, fo sho.
Now includes a version for the Winchester Model 70, intended to go with this Steyr Elite mod.
@gibus so I guess you KNOW the pain, and still question it?
Edit: actually, you've replaced like two sounds in a HUD soundbank and you didn't have to shake your head in disbelief and how bafflingly weird the sound design for weapons in this game is. So I guess you understand the process but you haven't tried replacing the whole bank yet, including several versions of reloading sounds that are very annoying to figure out and sometimes are unused. Also, a lot of weapons reuse animations and therefore reloading sounds, so that's a pain too. I would encourage you to try and make more sound mods, without looking them up in any commonly replaced sound lists.
@Alex_D #NoWar my experience has been in specific sounds that aren't used elsewhere. im p sure u dont hear the armor break/recover noises outside of when your armor breaks or recovers (or is added to by skills or perk decks like bullseye or anarchist). indeed i have not tried replacing the whole bank yet because i am aware of how insanely painful that process would be. why the fuck are all the sounds labeled as just some garbage pile of arbitrary number sets? kinda gave me a peak into what kinda devs overkill are. still though, i am more of a player than i am a modder, hence my original comment. despite my knowledge, i know there are people like you who know how to do this sort of thing, which is where my belief that such a mod existing isn't entirely implausible. i mean, hey. you made THIS mod. doesn't seem entirely unrealistic that other mods making PD2 guns sound like their CSS counterparts could be made

how are there not more mods like this
where are the usp noises for interceptor
If you tried making a sound mod for Payday 2, you'd understand why there isn't many brave modders out there.
@Alex_D #NoWar if you checked my profile youd see that i actually have. i just forgot about that latter part
