This mod improves bandwidth usage by reducing the frequency of specific data synchronization without compromising gameplay or visuals. It affects the functions responsible for sending your current position and look direction. The latter one is especially problematic since it has no rate limit it in vanilla which means you are potentially sending your look direction every single frame which is totally unnecessary.
This mod can help reduce desync drastically, especially on slower connections as you will be sending a lot less data to other players which reduces the load on your own as well as their connection.
Looking out for the people with monopoly ISPs still offering garbage up speeds in 2023. Salute.
recently downloaded this mod and joined a pub with 200+ ping. we did dsod and desync is little to none, i cant thank you enough for fixing the desync of this game. this really helps
I've seen many quality of life mods but this one is without a doubt one of the most essential mods to make your life easier while playing the game I have ever used. It helped ease up the desync connection problems I had with a friend who lives all the way up in Spain, and for once in a very long time I had some of the smoothest gameplay with him and it was all thanks to this mod

Does the 'Use Compression' option in game have any effect on this mod?

@Hoppip Ok nice. Any opinions if that option is better left on or off? I looked it up but couldn't find very much. I have good internet and am using this mod so should I disable compression or should I keep it on?
@Greens it doesnt really matter much in my experience so should be fine either way
