This mod should help prevent bullshit grace deaths.
Now, when you get shot for two different amounts of damage within a short amount of time (0.45s below mayhem, 0.35 at or above), the game will always treat it as if you only took the higher one (instead of taking both amounts when the lower amount is first).
Note that your grace period is unaffected by any additional hits; it will always last until 0.45/0.35s after the FIRST hit.
For example, if you have 230 health, no armour, and no damage mitigation, when getting hit by a light swat first and then a heavy swat 1 frame later, you will only take 225 damage and live on 5 health (instead of taking 300 damage and dying).
(Note: Shots that you dodge will not reduce the damage you take from shots that you don't dodge. Due to this, dodging will also reset the grace period, like it does in vanilla. Also, only bullet damage is (should be) affected by this mod.)
