I have a real thing about people adding me as a friend just to join me in a game once and never speak to me again.
Requested by Alchameth.
This mod allows you to quickly generate a join link for your lobby, or join a lobby using the join link or lobby id in your clipboard.
You can also use keybinds instead of using the button in the mod options menu.
This allows you to join other people or invite them without first adding them to your friends list.
(Technically, you can also do this by navigating to a user's Steam profile and copying the link to the "Invite to Game" button, but this is faster.)

How to use this mod
Installation instructions are in the "Dependencies & Instructions" section.
Sharing a link:
- Copy the link to your PAYDAY 2 lobby.
You can do this by clicking on the "Copy Invite Link" button in the contract lobby:
You can also navigate to the mod options menu for Share Lobby Link and click on the menu button there, or use the keybind.
This link is a normal Steam game invite that can be opened by the Steam client. (Example link: steam://joinlobby/218620/123456789101112131/76561197971723118 )
- Share the link with anyone you wish to join, eg. by pasting it into a Discord or Steam chat with CTRL-V.
Using a link:
With the mod:
Click on the "Use Invite Link" button in the crimenet map screen.
Alternatively, you can use a keybind to automatically detect the link on your clipboard and join the lobby with one keypress. Like the other keybind, this can be customized in the mod options menu for Share Lobby Link.
Without the mod:
Anyone with the link can then copy and paste the link into their Steam overlay browser to join the lobby. You do not need the mod for this option.
Troubleshooting and Known Issues
- WolfHUD and VanillaHUD (and any of their forks) may prevent the shortcut buttons from being clicked, or prevent them from showing up at all.
- If you cannot find this mod in your "mod options" menu, then you likely have another mod that is breaking the menus, or have an outdated version of SuperBLT.
If you encounter a crash, please report it to me, and I will fix it as soon as possible.
This mod:
- does allow joining lobbies or inviting others to join lobbies without first having to invite them to your friends list or navigate to their Steam profile
- does not let you bypass lobby privacy settings
- does not inhibit matchmaking or affect it in any way
- does not (as in, cannot) cause "failed joining game" errors. These errors are not related to this mod.
