Is there a way to do this through the in-game character swap menu? Make it work outside of combat?
Technically you can do this, through debug did so in older versions. It would be much more convenient and, in my opinion, would cause less problems. For in this modification control is partially knocked down and have to look for "arena" to fully activate the character. And it works this inconveniently. I'm glad there's at least some opportunity to play as bros, but I wonder if there's any chance of the usual character switching
I tried many times to do this via the original swap menu. However, it is intended to work in battle only. Swap menu will always bring back Noctis as main character after battle. Hence the need to find another way to swap characters. Changing characters by opening menu was the smoothest way imo, and it works outside battle, and anytime in the game when you have access to those menus.
Pretty much the best compromise I could find. I hope it gives you more gameplay options and freedom :)
@Fell Cleave In any case, it's better than nothing. Thank you for this mod and for Ardyn even though he can't do much, but it's nice to walk around in the main game for him.
Is there any way to switch to guests? Ravus? Sarah? etc.
@Nyamurai There is indeed, but other mods allow to use guests. Have a look on the site.
