This mod completely restores the actual original Bodybag model from PAYDAY 2 Alpha to the current Retail version of the PAYDAY 2 Game.
(1:05 timestamp for those who are not familiar with it or haven't been around the beta/alpha when the game initially released in 2013)
As for this particular bodybag model:
It was mostly likely cut due to unexpected behaviour of physics, which often made it way more annoying than it should be. However;
This mod fixes all the issues surrounding it and while the mod not only restores the bodybag, but it also makes it usable in other heists alongside the restored Dumpster functionality that was cut before games release.
Trivia; In current game release, both the bodybag and dumpster are cut in size by half. Hence why only right lid works and the bodybags squeeze in.
My mods purpose is to restore it's original intended functionality. That said, this should bring you some of that nostalgic feeling from this trailer.
Note; No sequences were edited so this mod will work without any issues or crashes when you play online with your friends or public in general.
The following mod changes;
- Current Retail Dumpster to Alpha Dumpster
with my own custom animation for the lid(1.01 changelog, please take a look) - Bodybag Visuals (Both Pickup and the NPC Model)
- Restores Nostalgic Feeling from the Year 2013.
Installation: put the mod folder from the archive to your mod_overrides folder

Okay so I see the comments below, I realize this is a known issue, and that the mod hasn't been updated in 9 months.
But there are still some heists that don't use this dumpster. Bain: Transport-Train for example, and Bain: Shadow Raid are the ones I noticed so far. One of the jewelry stores also has fake dumpsters that don't even open, they just sit there.
Merged instances, meaning I would have to edit the map content in order to just unlock these and it's not worth the effort because it would cause major issues on the client-side. Also interactions being disabled there are purposely set by the developers of the game so I'd rather wouldn't touch that in the first place. These changes alone would force me to make the mod use SuperBLT and BeardLib which is something I don't want to have in this mod. Hope this information shines a light on the topic.
