This is a gunshot sound for PayDay2 that is inspired by the gunshot sounds of GTA V.
The sound of gunfire in GTA V is incredibly realistic, thanks to the work of audio director Ivan Pavlovich. Pavlovich spent a lot of time getting the sound just right, recording real gunshots and incorporating them into the game. The end result is a gunfire sound that realistically recreates all the different aspects of firing a gun: the sound of the bullet leaving the chamber, the whirring noise as it flies through the air, and the thud as it hits its target.
GTA V is known for its over-the-top violence, and the game's sound designers didn't hold back when it came to creating realistic gunshot sounds. In an interview with IGN, audio director Rob Bridgett described the process of recording real gunshots and incorporating them into the game.
"We went out and recorded a whole bunch of guns," said Bridgett. "We had a weapons expert with us who showed us how to hold the gun, how to cock it, how to fire it, and all that stuff."
The team also recorded the sounds of people being shot, as well as explosions and car crashes. The goal was to make the game's sound effects as realistic as possible.
"We wanted players to feel like they were in the middle of a war zone," said Bridgett.
