I've been trying to add custom weapons to the game following the guides on the internet and after 2 years I (with a ton of help) figured out how to add these custom weapon and part's to blender and then to the game.
This is my first custom weapon mod which adds the Lightweight Assault Rifle to the game: it could look similiar to a weapon :thonking emoji:
I didn't necesarry wanted to add this custom weapon first but it worked as my first weapon mod project so let's go.
You can find it at the primary weapons under assault rifles and can be obtained at level 74.
It will appear for other players as the car-4 (I think).
I balanced for death wish difficulty so its probably op for overkill: idk I don't play on that anymore. If you have any feedback on balancing the weapon more just comment. I tried to make it a hard hitting rifle in compromise to its fire rate which is relative low with a low mag size and ammo pickup (you need to be accurate, you can't spray fire anything you see).
Check the pictures for the weapon stats, comment if you have suggestion on balancing the added attachments stats example: lower concealment, increase accuraccy etc.

Thanks [RJC9000] (https://modworkshop.net/user/56520) the ton of help and being patient with all of my silly questions and [Killerwolf] (https://modworkshop.net/user/40172) who helped me with the textures and further improved by Data Zero. (I don't know anything about the textures and yes it could be darker a little but thats beyond me, it works so its a win in my book).
Know bugs:
the added new mags animations doesn't play properly but oh well I'm not gonna bother fixing it cuz I would need to make new animations for it and I'm not ready for that challange yet. (might in the future)the base mag doesn't move with the hand anims (idk why this I will look into)
