It is back! Optimized so that there shouldn't be any crashes. Materials, textures, masks, patterns and (soon) normals are all separate downloads. Each will work on its own, so mix and match as you like. All assets have been upscaled, and most have been individually improved/tweaked. This is a work in progress.
Every pattern has been maticulously edited via Adobe Illustrator to make them as crisp as possible. Resolution has been increased, but filesize is lower than vanilla. Some textures have been completely recreated from scratch.
You shouldn't notice any performance problems, but if so, let me know.

Due to the way the engine processes pattern textures, I found it interesting that Overkill did not export the files via PNG-8 with dithering. This is why some textures revealed your default mask, despite what material you used. I am resolving this, but the cost is some textures may seem more crisp than necessary (the mist is a good example). As I tinker around with the dithering options, I will continue to improve these patterns.
It should be noted that the vanilla patterns are 512x512. Mine are 2048x2048. However, they are better for memory than the default textures. This is because they have been exported with literally only 3 colors: Red, Green and Blue. The way the system was designed. It seems the devs got lazy...
So yes. You get better pattern textures and better performance. It is a win-win!
